UFC By Design is a conceptual exhibition project exploring how the visual history and cultural identity of mixed martial arts could be presented in a gallery or museum context. The project involved designing the concept, spatial framework, and visual approach for a hypothetical exhibition dedicated to the UFC's role in building the sport's brand and graphic language. The exhibition treats the UFC's visual evolution as a subject worthy of critical examination — showing how typography, photography, color, and design decisions shaped the identity of a sport from underground spectacle to global institution.
The exhibition direction was built around the idea that the UFC's graphic world has its own history and logic worth documenting. Rather than a standard sports retrospective, the project frames the UFC's visual decisions — its logo changes, poster systems, broadcast design, and fight branding — as a coherent design story that can be experienced spatially. The visual language of the exhibition uses bold type, high-contrast imagery, and a structured layout system that feels connected to the sport while giving the work the formal qualities of a designed cultural space.
